Did you know…?

Did you know…?

On average we receive 7,000 messages daily (half of them are ads!): tv, social media, whatsapp... We get and consume so much information that, on many occasions, we don’t reflect about what this data means for our daily lives.

We are going to tell you some data that may have gone unnoticed lately but that surely interests you.

Did you know how much masks contaminate?

Mask

Did you know that more than 1.5 billion masks have reached the oceans? And that those masks have about 3-4 grams of plastic in their composition? Well, plastic pollution doesn’t only come in the way of bottles and packaging in our seas, it also arrives like masks.

Did you know that this extra contamination is around 5,000 tons? Something so small and light has a huge negative impact on the planet, switch to reusable masks and minimize your footprint.

Did you know that global warming doesn't stop?

Did you know that the hottest year on record was 2016 and that 2020 met it? In fact, the record heat was recorded last summer in California where it reached 53.3 degrees Celsius and we are heading for a temperature increase of at least 3 degrees!

Stopping global warming is one of the goals that many countries have set for 2021. Even China, one of the world's most polluting countries (28% of global emissions come from that country) has committed itself to reducing polluting gases in the atmosphere.

If they can do it, why can't we? By using sustainable mobility we help reduce global warming

Pollution

Did you know how much climate change costs?

Did you know that climate change has resulted in losses of more than 172 billion by 2020? Imagine how many problems would be solved with that money: minimizing hunger and poverty, better health services... But climate impacts such as rising seas, floods or droughts are hitting us harder and harder.

The global political intention is to adapt and we are an essential part of the political gear (after all we elect our politicians) so we must also take part. For example, let's value water and ecosystems by not using plastics for drinking water.

Every day we learn something new, and it is up to us to apply this learning to leave a positive mark on others and on the planet.

Get involved!
