New types of sustainable mobility are increasingly proliferating in our cities, helping to achieve cleaner places to live, with less noise and lower CO2 levels.
But with the rapid increase in the number of electric scooters and bicycles, many users have found themselves with doubts about how to make their journeys safer. With these concerns in mind and in order to ensure the safety of the users, Alicante is one of the first Spanish cities, along with Valencia or Benidorm, to regulate the use of helmets to ride on electric scooters.
This is an initiative that aims to anticipate the regulation announced by the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT), Spain’s public department that controls traffic, with its own regulation on the circulation of electric scooters and other vehicles for personal mobility (VMP).
The reality is that most people are only going to wear helmets if it's easy or mandatory, and from Closca we are aware of this reality, that's why we designed our Closca Helmet and Closca Helmet Loop to be so beautiful and comfortable that you would like to wear it.
But it's not just about elegance and aesthetics. Safety is an important topic that concerns us:
- Helmets can reduce the risk of suffering a brain injury by 88%. Our patented collapsible system distributes the force of the impact over the surface, preventing your head from suffering any damage.
- When you buy your helmet, make sure it complies with the safety certificates. In our case, Closca is double certified (EN1078 & CPSC).
- Children should also be safe. For this, they can choose their own helmet and even customize it themselves as with our Closca Kids, which includes stickers so they can make it their own.
- A helmet should be worn so that is level on the head, not tipped forward not backward. The strap should be securely fastened and you should not be able to move the helmet in any direction.
Protect your mind.
