CLOSCA FUGA AT MOMA DESIGN STORE
It´s been almost a century since Lillie P. Bliss, Rockefeller´s wife, decided to build a museum in the center of Manhattan. During this time, the institution became the head of the modern and contemporary art around the world. But that’s not all.
MoMA is not just a space for artists such us Picasso or Salvador Dalí. MoMA turned a reference of the soul of our times. And a synonym of good taste, critical thinking, and high quality. Concepts surrounded by our definition of design.
So, when Closca Design was awarded the RedDot Design Awards in 2015, the call that we received from the MoMA Design Store was a great bonus for us. Not only one of the most important competitions of design recognized Closca Fuga, in fact, the institutional reference of global art did it too.
IT’S BEEN ALMOST ONE YEAR COLLABORATING WITH THE MOMA DESIGN STORE, A REALLY GOOD YEAR, AND IT LOOKS LIKE A LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP!
For us, to sell in MoMa is the same meaning as achieving high-quality standards and a certification of good design. Is the first portable helmet sold in the MoMA Store, actually, is the first bike helmet sold there. This was not only good news for us, this is a good thing for all the urban cyclist’s community.
