Official CLOSCA Statement – Recall Action in France

At CLOSCA, the safety and trust of our customers are our top priorities. That is why we want to ensure maximum transparency regarding the recent situation in France related to our CLOSCA FUGA helmet.

The alert published on https://rappel.conso.gouv.fr/fiche-rappel/17163/Interne is based on a single test conducted on a sample of the CLOSCA FUGA helmet in white, size L, from batch "001 05/2019", taken from the premises of our former distributor European Trading Company in France.

This sampling was carried out by the French government as part of a routine quality control plan for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), a standard procedure within the European Union.

It is important to note that this alert was voluntarily drafted and issued by European Trading Company and applies only to products sold by this distributor within French territory. However, the alert incorrectly includes all sizes of the product in white, without specifying the batch number, which may cause confusion. We are currently working with French authorities and the distributor to review and clarify this notice.

Amazon, following the publication of this alert, has sent an automatic recall notification to all customers who have ever purchased this helmet model, without considering the country of sale, size, batch, or point of purchase.

Our Commitment to Safety

All our products undergo strict quality controls and hold official certifications under current regulations. These periodic quality tests are performed on each production batch to ensure compliance with safety standards.

It is important to highlight that the helmets tested in France were manufactured in 2019 and purchased by the distributor between 2019 and 2020. We do not have information about the storage conditions of these units during this period, and storage conditions can affect product performance, potentially impacting the test results.

Although the alert is strictly limited to products sold in France through European Trading Company, at CLOSCA, we are committed to the safety of all our customers. That is why we are reviewing this batch across all of Europe.

To verify if your helmet is part of the affected batch and to receive the best possible solution, please check the interior label of your helmet, where you can find the batch number.
